Epcot Line-Waiting Guide

Epcot splits into two very different queue experiences: the thrill rides clustered around World Celebration and World Discovery, and the slower-paced World Showcase pavilions circling the lagoon. Lines behave differently depending on which half of the park you're in.

Rides Worth a Blackout Card

Lines at these attractions regularly run long enough to fill an entire Blackout card while you wait.

• Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind — an indoor launch coaster that regularly posts some of the longest waits in all of Walt Disney World.
• Test Track — a high-speed ride-design simulator whose single-rider line moves faster than the standby line, but standby can still run long.
• Frozen Ever After — a boat ride through Arendelle in the Norway pavilion that draws steady crowds all day.

Quick Bingo Rounds

These attractions tend to move fast — good picks if you're chasing a fast row, column, or diagonal instead.

• Spaceship Earth — the iconic geosphere ride with huge, continuously loading capacity.
• The Seas with Nemo & Friends — a gentle clamshell boat ride that rarely builds a long line.
• Living with the Land — a slow boat tour through greenhouses that loads quickly and steadily.

Line-Waiting Tip

Save World Showcase for the middle of the day when the thrill-ride lines in World Celebration are at their worst — the pavilions stay walkable even during the busiest hours.

Fun Fact

Epcot opened in 1982 and was originally conceived by Walt Disney as an actual planned community (Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow) before it evolved into a permanent World's Fair-style park.
